This angers me to no end. I understand that there are people out there who use guns to evil ends, but it’s time Chicago stop trying to punish the rest of the state because of Chicago’s inability to control their crime problem. I do NOT support the anti-gun, fiscally motivated handgun registry! Additionally, the proposed tax on ammunition that is slated to help fund victim services is a travesty on its own. I believe victim services are important, but this is saying to the citizens of Illinois, “Hey, we disapprove of your guns and therefore you have to pay for this, which is obviously your fault”. Where does it stop? Tell Chicago no!
